Held from May 29 to June 3, the Congress includes high-level plenary sessions, several parallel sessions, network activities, and social and cultural events. It is an excellent opportunity for researchers, policymakers, businesses, and students to exchange knowledge and meet and connect across the Arctic. 

The Congress starts on May 29 with pre-meetings of IASSA and UArctic Business, followed by cultural programs and excursions, and an ice-breaker welcome reception in the evening.

The next day, May 30 opens with a series of parallel sessions, leading up to the grand opening ceremony at Stormen Concert Hall. The day will wrap up with a theme evening at the Norwegian Aviation Museum and a 'Pubinar' on Arctic geopolitics.

On May 31, the Congress will focus on sustainable development and feature the High North Young Entrepreneur and High North Hero awards. June 1 will continue with thematic sessions covering various aspects of the North, including a side event celebrating Bodø's status as the 2024 European Capital of Culture.

During final days, June 2 and 3, the 5th UArctic Assembly Meeting will be held. UArctic Assembly Meeting is the annual meeting of UArctic members, which also serves as a platform of cooperation, networking and consultation between all UArctic members. The program of the UArctic Assembly 2024 includes breakout sessions, thematic networks' and new members' presentations, UArctic Assembly dinner, together with other program highlights

Aside from these official events, participants can enjoy an array of cultural programs and excursions, offering unique insights into the local culture and landscape. These excursions include a hike to scenic viewpoints, an evening trip to the Kjerringøy trading post, and a visit to the renowned Saltstraumen.

Registration for the UArctic Assembly meeting and the Arctic Congress is open on the Arctic Congress website. The registration fee for the full Congress, including the UArctic Assembly meeting (29 May to 3 June) is 500 € (ends midnight CET on 15 May. Registration fee for the UArctic Assembly only (on 2-3 June) is 250 €. Registration for the UArctic Assembly will close on 16 May.
