The Nordic Council of Ministers invites applications for its Nordic-Russian cooperation call. Applications are invited between 3 May and 15 June 2021. 


The Finnish-Russian researcher Daria Gritsenko  was awarded by the Norwegian prize for her outstanding work which links mutiple fields of studies, such as social sciences, political sciences, as well as environmental and digital humanities studies.


The UArctic International Secretariat welcomed a new intern this week. Due to the current pandemic situation, Madeline will be working from France and hoping to physically join the office in Rovaniemi in the months to come. 



The Teacher Education Network webinar will be held on 18 March. The presentation title is "The Arctic polar vortex and its impact on the weather and climate". The webinar is open for all to participate. 


Agricultural University of Iceland is looking for an enthusiastic MSc student to join the project “Herbivores in the tundra: linking diversity and function (TUNDRAsalad)” funded by the Icelandic Research Fund.




Project Indigenous Pedagogy in Teacher Education (IPED) will organise an online workshop titled "The achievements, advancement and recognition of Sámi education" on 15-16 April 2021. The two-day workshop will be open for all to participate.
