The University of the Arctic (UArctic) is a network concerned with education and research in and about the North.
UArctic builds and strengthens collective resources and infrastructures that enable member institutions to better serve their constituents and their regions.
UArctic’s members are universities, colleges, research institutes and other organizations from Arctic and Non-Arctic countries with an interest in and commitment to higher education and research in the Circumpolar North.
Our members are the heart of the network, as their contributions are the basis for success of all our activities.
The Thematic Networks foster issues-based cooperation within networks that are focused but flexible enough to respond quickly to topical Arctic issues.
They form a natural framework for development of UArctic education and research providing and optimal structure for increasing the knowledge generation and sharing across the North.
