The 6th UArctic Assembly Meeting will be held from 6 to 9 June in Inari, Finland. It will be hosted by the Sámi Education Institute.
UArctic Assembly is the annual meeting of UArctic members, which also serves as a platform of cooperation, networking and consultation between all UArctic members.
Program of the UArctic Assembly 2025 will include pre-meetings, business meetings, Thematic Networks' and new members' presentations, UArctic Assembly dinner, together with program highlights which include a visit to the Sámi Museum and Nature Centre Siida, a visit to the Inari Reindeer farm, a hike on the Sulaoja Nature Trail of the Kevo Nature Park, and the Lake Inari Cruise (to be confirmed).
There will be various opportunities to gain understanding and for hands on experience of rich Sámi culture and nature in the area. The program will highlight Sámi livelihoods and the connection to the land, cultural heritage of the Sámis and Sacred sites and more.
Assembly Agenda and Proposals will be shared with Assembly representatives no later than 1 month before the meeting (6th of May latest).
This year's Assembly Meeting will take place primarily at the Sámi Cultural Centre Sajos, with some events being hosted at the Sámi Education Institute. Located approximately 1km away from each other, it takes about 2 minutes by car or 15 minutes on foot to go from one to the other. Below are their addresses:
