NSF Information Session Ship-based Science Technical Support in the Arctic Tuesday, 21 September 2010 at 12:00 p.m. EDT

The National Science Foundation (NSF) issued a solicitation, "Ship-based Science Technical Support in the Arctic," for proposals to provide science technical support on the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) icebreakers Healy and the Polar Class icebreakers Polar Sea and Polar Star as needed. NSF is offering an information session on Tuesday, 21 September 2010 at 2:00 p.m. EDT. This information session will use WebEx meeting software to show slides while discussion takes place via teleconference. The agenda is as follows:

- Presentation by NSF about the solicitation
- Question & Answer by participants in the information session

Representatives from NSF and USCG will be available to answer questions until approximately 3:00 p.m. EDT.

The due date for proposals to this solicitation is 8 November 2010. The solicitation is expected to result in one award as a cooperative agreement to provide science technical support augmenting the support provided by USCG.
