On behalf of the Nordic Council of Ministers, Norwegian Centre of International Cooperation in Education (SIU) invites Nordic higher education institutions to apply for funding of Nordic-Russian cooperation projects in the field of higher education. The Nordic-Russian Cooperation Programme in Higher Education and Research is funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. SIU coordinates the Nordic activities of the Programme in cooperation with NordForsk. The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation coordinates the Russian activities of the Programme.

The University of Washington announces a new Canada-U.S. Fulbright Visiting Chair in Arctic Studies at the University of Washington, Seattle. The Arctic Chair is jointly sponsored by the Office of Global Affairs, College of Arts and Sciences, and College of the Environment as part of the Future of Ice initiative. The five year MOU between Fulbright Canada and the University of Washington begins in 2013-14. A new applicant will be selected annually for the position.
