The inaugural meeting of the UArctic Rectors’ Forum

In this page you will find info about the upcoming UArctic Rectors' Forum.

The inaugural meeting of the UArctic Rectors’ Forum will be at Dartmouth College, Hanover, US, on March 14, 2007.

The UArctic Rectors’ Forum will bring together university and college Presidents, Rectors, Provosts, Chancellors as well as Vice-Presidents around specific themes.  The Forum is reserved for institutional leadership and is not intended as a institutional representative forum; the Council of UArctic serves that function.

The first UArctic Rectors’ Forum will be organized at Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, US, in partnership with the International Arctic Science Committee at the Arctic Science Summit Week on 14-20 March 2007 (http://www.assw2007.org/). The Forum will be hosted by the Provost of Dartmouth College, Dr Barry Scherr and is organized on 14 March 2007, one day prior the ASSW Science Day. The first Forum will focus on discussing the role university leaders can take in promoting northern higher education’s role regionally and globally.  The Terms of Reference for the Rectors’ Forum will be drawn up in the first Forum.
