UArctic Rectors' Forum concludes in Winnipeg

The 6th University of the Arctic Rectors’ Forum has concluded in Winnipeg Canada, held from Nov 13-15, 2012. This year, the Forum was attended by 37 presidents and rectors of higher education institutions from all eight Arctic countries.  Hosted by University of Manitoba, the theme of the 2012 Rectors’ Forum was "Pan-Arctic Cooperation: Regional Partnerships with Global Impact."

UArctic visits University of Winnipeg

A University of the Arctic group led by UArctic president Lars Kullerud, currently in Manitoba for the UArctic 2012 Rector’s Forum, on Tue Nov 13 visited the University of Winnipeg. The purpose of the visit was to share information about UArctic with Dr. Lloyd Axworthy, President & Vice-Chancellor (and former member of UArctic's Board of Governors) and members of UW faculty. President Lars Kullerud gave an update on UArctic activities. The people present had an opportunity to share ideas and concerns about UArctic's present and future.
