UArctic Membership Fee

UArctic's Annual Membership Fee for 2013 is set at Euro 500€.

With reference to the decision taken by the Council of UArctic in Kiruna, Sweden in August 2009 (Annex 1) to introduce a membership fee, and the subsequent approval of implementation procedures by the UArctic Board in December 2009 (Annex 2), an annual UArctic membership fee has been set at Euro500€.

This year, invoices for the collection of membership fees will be sent directly to Council member representatives on April, 23rd, 2013; and a reminder send out in mid-September.

In settling the membership fee, the following options are available to members:

Bank Transfer: Included in each invoice are payment details for making an international / cross-border bank transaction. Note: Additional information is often required for international / cross-border bank transactions, see details below.

Credit Card: It is also possible to make payments using a Visa, EuroCard or MasterCard credit card. If this payment option is preferred, then please let us know and we will forward the necessary payment authorisation document.

Payment by Cheque: Although payment can be made by personal or company cheque, this method is not recommended as it will involve considerable delays and surcharges. Still should this be the chosen method of payment, then in addition to the membership fee an additional surcharge of Euro €11.00 must be added to the total (e.g. Euro €511.00 OR  €1011.00).

Russian UArctic Members: It is now possible to pay directly to a Russian bank account within Russia (SBERBANK / Сбербанк). The account holder is the Northern Arctic Federal University (NArFU), host institution of the UArctic's Research Office. Full bank tranfer details can be downloaded here.

Waiver Request: Also, if for whatever reason member institutions or organisations are unable to pay the annual membership fee, then a formal written request for the full or partial waiving (i.e. payment reduction or full exemption) of the annual fee will need to be sent to the UArctic International Secretariat. A copy of the waiver request template document is availalble for download here
